Purpose: the drug is used for restoration and preservation of existing bitumen-compatible (roofing, ruberoid) roofs and the implementation of new seamless waterproofing roofing coatings, for external waterproofing of underground parts of buildings and structures, underground pipelines and metal structures.

Properties:

- high adhesion to mineral bases;

- applied to wet surfaces;

- ready to use (in some cases, mechanical mixing is desirable before use);

- has thixotropic properties;

- does not drain from inclined surfaces even at temperatures from + 1 ° С to + 100 ° С, and does not crack at a temperature from + 1 ° С to -30 ° С;

- does not contain organic solvents;

- environmental (does not contain toxic compounds);

- after drying, it becomes inert to atmospheric influences

Technical data:

Content - water emulsion of bitumen, rubber, improving additives.

Density -1.1 g / cm 3 .

Drying time is approximately 6 hours.

The interval between applying layers is at least 6 hours.

Rain does not wash off after 5 hours.

Temperature of the base and execution of work - from + 5 ° С to + 30 ° С.

Consumption with a primer - 0.5-0.7 kg / m.

Consumption when performing roofing - 0.7-1.5 kg / m 2 per layer.

Consumption for waterproofing concrete foundations - 2-3 kg / m 2 .

Application

  1. Waterproofing foundations.

Before applying the drug, it is necessary to prepare the surface accordingly, which should be clean (without dust), moist (not wet), fat-free and without peeling. The concrete base before applying the drug must be pre-primed with an aqueous solution of mastic (3-7 liters, water per 10 liters of mastic, depending on the ambient temperature, the base and the degree of its humidity). Uneven surfaces (seams of masonry or between concrete blocks, etc.) are pre-plastered with cement-sand mortar in order to level them to prevent the formation of probable cracking of the preparation at right or acute angles and from different thicknesses of the applied layer. After applying the primer, it must be allowed to dry (at least 6 hours), and then apply insulation with the finished product "IZOMAST-KIM" with hard brushes (preferably twice with a total mastic consumption of 2-3 kg / m 2 .)

Requirements: before using the mastic, it must be mixed in any way (manually, using a mixer, etc.). It is recommended that on the external direct vertical corners of the foundations, after applying a layer of waterproofing, glue a strip of reinforcing fabric - 15-20 cm on each side. These works, with the relative simplicity of their execution, require an individual approach, since the range of tasks here is quite wide (it is necessary to determine: - what type of foundation waterproofing; - with or without insulation; - with or without drainage systems; - what level of soil water level, etc.).

The advantage of IZOMAST-KIM mastic when used for waterproofing the underground parts of buildings and structures is that there are practically no dry excavated foundations on which waterproofing mastics can be applied with organic solvents (there is no normal adhesion with wet or wet surface), and the waiting factor for the complete drying of the dug up underground part of the structure speaks for itself. This also applies to new construction, especially when the foundations are freshly laid monolithic concrete, or fresh masonry mortar between the foundation blocks.

When performing waterproofing of foundations with before warming, it is advisable to apply the IZOMAST-KIM mastic not to the foundation, but to the insulation pre-attached to it, which will ensure its relative dryness and thus preserve its thermal insulation properties. In this case, the advantage of the IZOMAST-KIM mastic is that, unlike mastics with organic solvents, it does not lead to surface destruction of the insulation.

2. Waterproofing of underground pipelines and metal structures.

Preparation of surfaces for waterproofing requires the mechanical elimination of unreliable places, such as reservoir corrosion, peeling of paint coatings, etc. Waterproofing with IZOMAST-KIM mastic is applied two times without preliminary primer.

Especially critical places are reinforced with fabric as described above.

3. Roof waterproofing.

When restoring and preserving existing bitumen-compatible (roofing, ruberoid) roofing, it is necessary to cut out blisters and other lagging places. Irregularities are filled, for example, with a cement-sand mortar, which, after drying, is primed as described above. The IZOMAST-KIM mastic is twice applied to the surface thus prepared, the first layer of which must dry before applying the next. In places where the roof area adjoins, for example, parapets, chimneys, etc. it is necessary to make a smooth transition between them with a cement-sand mortar, which is later primed, waterproofed with mastic using reinforcing fabric. Application of the drug - using brushes. In order to significantly increase the validity period of the restoration or preservation performed in this way, it is necessary to drown (! - do not “dust”) mineral sprinkling or sand into the last not yet dried layer of IZOMAST-KIM. This will protect the mastic from the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays and mechanical damage. When performing new seamless waterproofing roofing coatings, mineral substrates are primed as described above, later using wide trowels evenly apply mastic up to 1 mm thick (optimally 0.6 - 0.7 mm), starting from the lower parts of the roof. In a still fresh layer of "ISOMAST-KIM" polypropylene reinforcing fabric is recessed with effort. Overlapping strips of fabric should be 10 cm with a length of up to 6 m. And 20 cm with a longer length. The work is suspended until the mastic has completely dried. Then the next layer of the drug is applied so that the reinforcing tissue is completely saturated with it. This layer is recommended to be applied the day after the previous work. In the case of work on particularly critical sites, it is recommended to apply another layer of the preparation to the dried layer of the mastic with reinforcing fabric, into which the polypropylene reinforcing mesh is embedded, which is again covered with the IZOMAST-KIM mastic. As described above, this layer is protected by mineral sprinkling or sand, which is once again covered with mastic "IZOMAST-KIM".

The advantages of seamless waterproofing roofing are that the "geometry" of the roof does not have to be flat. The presence of a large number of junctions, protrusions of individual parts of structures makes it difficult to perform a waterproofing coating of the roof, for example, by surfacing of roofing material.
